Community Beer Company moves to new facility

Having occupied their original warehouse space in the Design District since 2013, Community Beer Company officially opened their new brewery facility this week. The new location is a nearby prominent site at the intersection of Stemmons Freeway (I-35E) and Commonwealth Drive.

The new 70,000-square-foot brewery will eventually include a two-story taproom, full-service restaurant, outdoor biergarten, music venue and event space. Plans for the upgraded facility include new product lines of distilled spirits, wine and seltzers.

The move was months behind schedule due to City of Dallas permitting and inspection delays brought about by COVID-19 restrictions. The administrative chaos of the ensuing pandemic and relating staffing and safety issues nearly proved financially disastrous for the successful and award-winning brewery.

This original build is part of the planned redevelopment of the Pegasus Park campus, empty for almost a decade, which encompasses 23 acres of modern office and commercial warehouse space adjoining the highway.
