Wylie’s Good Neighbor Brews closed this past weekend with a fire sale of all beers at their brewery taproom. Owners and brewers Darin Peterson and Jill Bresnan decided to close their brewery operations in favor of opening their own restaurant (also in Wylie) later this year. Advertisements

Whistle Post Brewing closes

Whistle Post Brewing officially closed this past week, citing financial issues. With limited profitability and difficult growth, the owners decided to cease operations and liquidate with enough capital left to pay off investors. Rowlett’s FireWheel Brewing Company closed last week with a last “farewell” brewery tour on Saturday featuring some reserved and special releases. Independent Ale Works of Krum ceased production in August and has now closed, according to a statement posted on their Facebook account.
