Zio Carlo rebranded as Chimera Brewing
Fort Worth’s Zio Carlo Magnolia Brew Pub has renamed and rebranded itself as Chimera Brewing Company. The move comes after the departure of brewer Austin Jones and a desire for a fresh image and identity for the brewpub after several difficult years in business.
Bitter Sisters Brewing opens
Bitter Sisters Brewing opened in March as the first production brewery in Addison since 1989. A family operation (hence the name), the brewery is led by owner and brewer Matt Ehinger with experience brewing in Oklahoma brewpubs. A formal grand opening celebration is planned for later this month.
Braindead Brewing opens
Braindead Brewing opened this week in Dallas after a weekend of private events and soft openings. The project of Dallas craft beer veterans Sam Wynne and Jeff Fryman, Braindead is the first brewpub to open in the Deep Ellum entertainment district in over a decade.
