Head brewer Austin Jones left Zio Carlo Magnolia Brew Pub in December after two years to pursue further personal projects. Brewing duties have been taken up by founder Carlo Galotto, manager Adam Gonzales and their staff.
Co-founder and brewer Michael Harper parted ways with Panther Island Brewing in August over an unspecified disagreement with investors. Harper was an original part of the brewery during its years of development and opening last June, and his future involvement with the local brewing industry is uncertain.
The Collective Brewing Project opened in south Fort Worth in early November. Bearded Eel Craft Brewery opened in far north Fort Worth in early October. Owners and brewers B.J. and Becky Burnett built the tiny commercial brewery in an industrial park but hope to eventually move from their current location to a rural farmhouse setting.
